A 1 hour and 40 minute walk through Halifax’s historic city streets with tales of ghosts, pirates, hauntings of all kinds with maybe a hanging or two. All supported with a good dose of local history to set the context for the ghost stories themselves.

Most tours start at 8:30pm from the Old Town Clock on Citadel Hill and finish on the waterfront by The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Some tours start at 6pm or 7:30pm. Send a message dustyshalifaxghostwalk@gmail.com to check times or follow facebook.com/thehalifaxghostwalk
The tour takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
$30 regular adult price
$20 for youth/students/seniors (65+)
$15 5-12 years old

I am visiting from Ontario and I went on this walk last night! Dusty had us on the edges of our seats. He even had us jumping out of our skins at times. Truly a gifted storyteller. Worth the price PLUS a tip!!!!

We had so much fun on this walk. Our guide, Dusty, is a terrific storyteller. He really throws himself into the stories, adding a few little jump scares for effect. We had kids around 8-10 yo on our tour who just loved it just as much as the adults did. We spent about 90 minutes walking from the Citidel down to the waterfront, stopping in half a dozen locations for history and ghost tales. It’s a nice night out.

5 stars We as Haligonians went on the Halifax Ghost Walk. It exceeded all of our expectations. Dusty is a wonderful, theatrical storyteller and sets the stage in an informed historic context. He is also funny, incredibly engaging , passionate and has a wealth of knowledge. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Just go and do it. Do it if you’re from here or if you’re not. Let me start by saying I have been on many ghost tours in the US and in Canada. This ghost walk was one of the best. Our guide Dusty was great. His story telling had everyone on the edge of there seats the whole time. Not only was it a ghost tour but also a history lesson. My family loved every minute of it and wished it hadn't ended.

I have been on ghost walks in Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa and ones in England, but I can honestly say that the Halifax Ghost Walk is the BEST one I have ever been on! Dusty, our guide, must be a trained actor. He just commanded attention and his tales were engaging, entertaining and genuinely spooky!! He clearly loves what he does and it shows! If you ever go to Halifax, this tour is a must!!

I'm an adept of ghost walks - took them in at least five other cities - and i can safely say that Dusty was the best ghost tour guide I've ever had the pleasure to meet. My niece and her partner had never took a ghost tour and it was the best possible way to introduce them to it. Dusty is a gifted storyteller; he has a knack for commanding attention and weaving an ambiance. The whole crowd was hanging to his every word and it was obvious he's passionate about the subject. Our entire family, including our 10 and 8 year old, loved the ghost walk. There was a lot of laughs and a few screams, mostly from me. The kids are still talking about it today. Dusty does a great job of storytelling!! I would definitely recommend this to everyone who visits Halifax.

Dusty is a spectacular storyteller. Yes, the group was a bit large. And the stops can be a bit awkward. However, it's completely worth it!
Think of it as a small nuisance to experience a master at his craft. Highly recommend to other history and ghost enthusiasts.
